The P-40 Tomahawk/ Kittyhawk/ Warhawk... an often overlooked fighter. It's one of my favorite WW2 aircraft.

Thanks for the comments, gents. Finding the strip must be a mission in itself. You bet. Those guys must have acute situational awareness. In the sim it's potentially harder to do, I just flew to the pond (in the clip at 1:50) and turned finals there. Because the strip is seriously uphill, your perspective is wrong and you easily go in too low. I confess there was wreckage 100m short a couple of times. Also I suspect the model does not provide reverse thrust which would help a whole lot on grass!

From this generation I appreciate the MiG 17F. This swept-wing version of the F9F doesn't impress me that much. Then rather the Dassault Mystere IV or the SAAB J-32 Lansen.

I love the RL views you get, passing The Philippines and Indonesia en route to KL or Dubai. At FL 350 you can see for a hundred miles and more, and there are t'storms everywhere. Marvellous sight.
