 Excellent bit of historical insight! From that French link: The winter and spring of 1917 passed in inactivity, which the pilots took advantage of to paint splendid personal decorations on their aircraft. That's war alright: hurry up and wait. Who knows what Jean Bignin's classical education encompassed? But I'd go for a faun, being one who is intoxicated with life! Well done, JK.

Can certainly be a very impressive sim. It's too much for me to learn though. I think it'd take a British carrier and / or Buccaneer, Hunter or Lightning to really get me into it

Thanks very much, but remember these are not my shots...just tweaked screen grabs from some very clever people. Hopefully, I will give you some of mine soon.

Great clip! I've been flying the Bf109G in MSFS. It is a real handful closer than 50ft. off the ground. Takeoff requires full RH crossed ailerons, and quick reaction when unsticking. Goodness knows how those few got it off the ground as a nose-heavy version with higher P-factor.

Great shots .....these caused quite a stir back in the day. "Variously referred to by American media as “The Stab in the Back-yard”, “The Fishbed Flap” “The Redhawk Incident” or more ominously “The Canuck Invasion Crisis”, the Redhawk Program brought Canadian-American relations to the breaking point."

I honestly thought those last pics were from the sim...sometimes it's hard to tell the difference. Thank you for the heads up about NZ1015.
