Yeah I bet if I looked in my P3D logbook the little R22 would be miles ahead, use it to potter around looking at scenery and addons. In MSFS tho I am enjoying the 500e for the same reason, it may be a lot twitchier handling wise but it gets ya around so much quicker... and looks the ducks nuts  St Michel looking a bit spooky there. The tour de France usually pays it a visit each year, will have to check the route to see it it's passing by, must be soon

Logistical failure of the year! :o I think MS has done most of its marketing already, aiming for the Xbox crowd with Adventure-type content. But it would certainly be worth braving the heat between airconditioned boxes, to go hands-on with the state of the art. I've actually never seen another flightsim computer operating, in the metal.

The vapour around the fuse is typically called a mach cone. Right. We'll bookmark this post for future reference, then. There's a whole bunch of YT clips showing this effect under the clickbait "Supersonic Boom" or somesuch.

Great post....Isn't AFS crystal clear. Ta mate - I have always liked how AFS is pin-sharp all the way down to the ground, and of course being able to move the Sun around makes the most of their lighting. Some pics from my new monitor soon - real big sky stuff :D

The Black Jag, I believe was nicknamed The Saint and was used as the Jaguar Display aircraft. I think, I'm not sure, the pilot was Andy Black. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, Charl - still waiting for the AFS4 scenery SDK to let us make autogen trees, buildings etc. It will come, and it will be good.

Here we are, whittering on about AI Taking Over. Didn't know the Jag had this, but like the F-16, unflyable by direct human hand without computer in the loop. And that was four decades ago! Great post Marty.
