Wow Adam that one made me blink - it belongs on the masthead for the whole month, so much to see! It gets a week only ;) then back to the random banners. I'm using GSX a lot now - and have to say I'm amazed at how much detail they cram into all their systems & animations. I often sit there and do the whole works, catering, icing etc. before the usual boarding and refuelling etc.

Thanks for looking Aharon. I may have confused everyone with my comment about re- painters on War thunder. Of course, there isn't just one, there hundreds of them....but only a few who do regular NZ work.

Thank you for pointing that out. I will see if a repainter will deal with this aircraft and now increase my stock of sceneries for New Zealand. I have been a member of a large forums over the years but I am always happy to be here at nzff.org, because there are so many hints to be found here that point to such things. We don't really have anything like that in Europe anymore. Its very similar to one of the liverys that come with it. Hopefully they will release a Yak-52 as well...would be keen on one of those

Meanwhile I have "flown" the DC 6. Much is to learn about this aircraft. Bella Coola Airport (CYBD) - Vancouver International Airport (CYVR) Douglas DC-6A Frachter, Northern Air Cargo

Nelson (Payware) and Motueka (Freeware) by NZA will be released on 1st July. Kind regards, Michael ...and they really lived up to expectations! Very nicely crafted and fit in great with the ORBX NZ landscape meshes too. I have never been to NZ in person, but if I had known then what I know now, I should have come years ago.

Not to mention the variety of screw thread standards. The original Range Rover used 3, or was it 4 ? :o Or the early v-8 Rolls Royce, where the first step in checking the plug gap was 'First remove the near or off wheel, as appropriate'

I've got a soft spot for radial classics so splashed out on the DC-6 after seeing this. (Haven't bought anything from PMDG since their 1900d series back in the FSX days!) Your TEAL colors look great on her with the PBR rendering in the sim. Awesome work!

Dat's clever... what does ArcGIS do for you? Charl - as a source for orthophotos, their shadowing is too heavy. I noticed that when I was trying to get a good source for the Aoraki region. But I tried them for the coastal stuff south of Westport, and there was that beautiful water blending  none of those awful corbie steps I got with LINZ as a source. So now I will make sure it is their standard, and if so, I will redo all my NZ sceneries with coastlines, with ArcGiss orthophotos. Better than hand editing thousands of tiles. Watch this space :D Mike
