Wow Adam that one made me blink - it belongs on the masthead for the whole month, so much to see! It gets a week only ;) then back to the random banners. I'm using GSX a lot now - and have to say I'm amazed at how much detail they cram into all their systems & animations. I often sit there and do the whole works, catering, icing etc. before the usual boarding and refuelling etc.

I missed that, nice work! There's also ZK-BEM in eyecatching NEIAF colours: I expect many more modern photos are online also, as well as older schemes worn before restoration.

I like the AMPHIBIAN AIRWAYS one best (ZK-BAY) .... given its supporting model features the "correct" RANGER engine configuration. NZTAT aircraft (ZK-AVM, -BAY, -BGQ, -BPX, -CFA, and -CHG .... to which a number of livery variations apply) originally featured the same RANGER engine configuration too until converted to CONTINENTAL power during the early to mid 1960's. Not sure, but, Wellington based OLD MODELS may still offer a decals for the AMPHIBIAN AIRWAYS aircraft (ZK-AVM and -BAY) and which include "both fonts" (as well as that following the NZTAT acquision too) .... I...

My Dad was born in 1913, when aviation was just getting into its stride. When my sister arrived in 1943, the Jet Age was under way and a couple of months after my first appearance, the Comet 1 made its debut. Seven years later my youngest brother, not quite one year old, was watching Sputnik 1 pass overhead as we listened to it on the BBC wireless. The Space Age had begun. Fifteen years later my daughter was born, over two years after the Moon Landing. All that in less than 70 years :o

Are there any Garmin type Nav units aroun,d for flight sim, that don't use the Garmin nav data? I just cant stomach the thought of flying around with dated nav data and even more so, the thought of paying Garmin's eye watering subscription fee.

Mighty beasts they were. I have the AH one in my FSX, and I am sure I have a book somewhere by a WW2 pilot, Polish or Dutch chap I think. Apparently that huge prop was very handy if your ground crew wanted to lay down a few tomato plants or similar  ps EDIT I had a look for that old 2017 post and corrected the link, which had been updated by PostImage. So now it has been 'bumped' as if it was a new post :o

 Radar, I was aware of the sale ...but I have everything they produce at the moment, just haven't had time to screen all of it. As I said earlier, I'm really looking forward to the Normandy release, some really nice flyable aircraft on the way including a Mosquito...and rumours that the AI C-47 will be flyable in the future. They really are working hard on updates for things like ground texture, reflections and clouds. If they could get the clouds a little more HD, I will be a happy man. Interesting to note they do work with the Gijin group (Warthunder) who are advancing their stuff very...

That's a lot of paint for something in 1-72 ...I don't know why, but watching him placing and adjusting the decals, made me nervous :ph43r: ....odd.

Charl ..."But it has to do with creating something which just a few years ago, might have seemed impossible. Woolly mammoths spring to mind." I'm ever so slightly nervous .... I do have a number of Sims, but nothing that involves genetically modifying, or reviving , Pachyderms in any way shape, or form.

I've always like this one. Once they fixed the cockpit bubble, it became in my mind an "Honest" aircraft, purposeful if you like. Thanks for posting Mike, I see he has quite the list of projects, I might take a look at the Wilga.
