Wow Adam that one made me blink - it belongs on the masthead for the whole month, so much to see! It gets a week only ;) then back to the random banners. I'm using GSX a lot now - and have to say I'm amazed at how much detail they cram into all their systems & animations. I often sit there and do the whole works, catering, icing etc. before the usual boarding and refuelling etc.

I don't think that it carried a full payload for that flight, it carried the equivalent of a normal load. It was a bit of a marketing gimmick much like Tex Johnson rolling the 707. The Convair 990 was faster on a normal day as was the 727. Still interesting though. But I challenge the assertion that it's the most historic feat in the history of aviation... Chopper Nut, Thank you for viewing my screenshots. When I said full payload, I mean that Douglas company filled the plane with full luggage load using real luggages and full passenger load using 150 lb dummies. It is...

These flights in Indonesia in often bad to very bad weather have made it clear to me how good we actually have it in Europe in terms of weather. But it is a challenge to fly somewhere here in Indonesia or in other areas with typical, regularly recurring weather conditions that are outside the norm... Flying with regional aircrafts such as the ATR 42/72 or the DASH 8 forces you to fly through the weather and not over it as usual with jets. The problem in the current simulations is that the computer-aided ATC can't request alternative courses if the weather is too bad in advance to simply...

Marty, no, that's just a mirror. The one that I'm talking about is on the left hand side on the canopy between the seats. I think it was a tank sight that the Brits put on there to identify targets beyond visual range.
