This freeware starfighter for AF 2 is a nice aircraft and very relaxed to fly. . . except when landing. There he becomes an animal and comes from above like a piano. at 250 kts. The handicap is that, unlike the original, it doesn't have a brake parachute because AF2 is not yet ready. . . But compared to the professional version in the P3DV4. 5, it is easier to fly. But has these typical characteristics because of the small wings. There's that stupid joke that the engineers at Lockheed only put wings on the thing because they had no other idea where to screw the ailerons on. One should avoid...

Good looking planes from DCS - I think the 'what is it' job is a Grumman F3? before they went monoplane. The '51' looks like an A36 the one they designed for the Brits. Had an Alison (GM) engine - good low level but not so much at altitude. Didn't come alive 'til a genius at Rolls Royce suggested the Merlin engine - the Brits had already named it 'Mustang' and the rest is history.

Sadly I cant run DCS anymore :( my system is now below the minimum requirements ....it loads , I get to the cockpit and it just sits there. It might be that the old GTX750 just cant cut it anymore ...not sure where to go from here.

I love turbine conversions because it means that classic airframes will be around for a lot longer. DC-3s, DHC-2s, DHC-3s... still going strong commercially because of turbine conversions.

That's the beauty with XP, it's so open source that people have created the tools to make your own photo scenery. WED ships with XP for making airports, PlaneMaker for making your own aircraft.... There are literally hundreds of scripts that you can download to make the sim do almost anything

This one? To exotic. No Chance. What You get at the moment to a lower price are the "normal" F/RF-104G FSX: P3DV4: and the last of the line, the F-104S/F-104S-ASA from Italy FSX: P3DV4: The F 104S/S-ASA i have "flown" in FSX for a long time. Now I have both packages for P3DV4 but at the moment no time to read the manuals and fly them to. You need to read. Ohm's Law alone won't work with this thing.
