Jack of all trades master of none... Hollyford Valley strip and Gunns camp are more or less finished but the mesh in the area is really bad. I haven't been able to get any consistent results when testing with different people so it's been shelved until the next update of the Lyndiman ortho scenery. Hopefully that fixes it up. I am working on another scenery though. An airstrip with a huge amount of history in NZ that hasn't really been covered, to my knowledge, in any simulation. There'll be screen shots soon.

One of the things I like about AFS2 is the way they have encouraged a "development community" to get involved. Not just people like Arno and other FS Developers who have contributed so much to the simming community, but people not previously heard of, who have been creating tools for AFS2 like ScenProc, AeroScenery and so on, so that ordinary simmers without a Masters in coding can learn how to create something useful. For instance one person who developed a way to add warning beacons to tall structures picked up by ScenProc has adapted it to model sports stadium floodlighting....

Trundled down to Long Beach yesty to see the Queen Mary - she was built in my native town - but there was no model, just the 2D photo. So I took a quick run across to Catalina Island, which looks good but lacks cultivation. After all, it is America :P :rolleyes: :lol:

Ah! Heat Blur. AMazing stuff. This thing will eat up your entire life. I know this from the last time I committed to a full-featured combat flightsim: Janes F-15E Strike Eagle. I flew every mission and knew Iraq like the back of my hand. Wonder if I can convince an online friend to play backseater? :) An AI Jester character night not cut the mustard in a tight situation. Then again...
