Well put Mike ...Im a 1957 model, and the advances in aviation from there (as you said) are amazing. My earliest flying memory is flying to Auckland with my father on a Viscount ...followed by things like watching US Navy Neptune's and Constellations at NZCH ...seeing the first Mount Cook Airlines HS748 arrive , the first QANTAS 747. Then as a young fella in the RNZAF flying home on leave in a Dak or a Bristol Freighter ...seeing the first Andover arrive and the last freighter leave ...taking my first flight in the Air Force in a Harvard ...then a Devon. And MANY years later helping to...

Thank You. It is another of the short "after work flights". I like this more than long trips with Jets.

Holy cow :o Charl, how do I update AFS ? Marty, I downloaded it today from Aerosoft. 3.2GB, and it was pretty slow, 30-odd mins. Cost a tad under AUD 42, probly about NZD 46. I think it's worth that.. Not for Steam people. ATB, Mike

Tom - Great pic and insider info. Probably saw you at Wanaka, but only because we were both there at the same time. You were at work, as I recall; I was at leisure

Hi Adam Yes I do remember it. If I recall correctly it was the day we were lucky enough to go for a flight in the Tiger Moths. We also looked over the "Polish grasshopper looking thing" which you were particularly fond of. Not completely sure but I seem to recall they started the Cri Cri with a wraparound pull start. Just like an old lawn mower regards Bob

Heya Rob, with GSX you can now define and place safedock units. Granted they're not as accurate as the SODE addon claims to be (can define AC specific stop positions), but it'll do in the meantime :) Well, see, I didn't know that. Thanks! That certainly works, and is easy to set up. I guess those with GSX would need to tweak the distance for their favourite aircraft... As always, my parking is atrocious, whether I use a marshaller or VGDS. I'll have to figure out how to stop GSX always telling me how poor my skills are. I can take it from a marshaller, but from a dumb box on a wall it's a bit...

I'm such a sucker for the "old" TEAL colour scheme. So much classier than the black abomination, IMHO! Great shots! Haha yeah i agree! Thanks for the comments!

I think the Hurricane has a charm all of its own. I was digging in the veggie plot once back home in Gloucestershire when one flew over. Unknown to me, the owner lived a mile away - and then proceeded to give his family a full-blown low-level display. Hard to forget, that one!!! You may have to add some more shots ... I'm about to change my screencomp entry LOL!

JMBIII , I think that's the case ...he's over it :P Thanks for looking, just a shame I can't centre the aircraft in the test flight mode ...only way around it is to join a battle, then you get all the angles you need  Anyway, thanks for stopping by
