Aharon: I agree with you from experience. In MSFS 98 we had a freeware GPS for the first time and today... if you look at this cockpit, a lot has happened since then. My first glass cockpit was probably in MSFS 2004. Yesterday I flew the Black Square TBM 850 for the first time. Round instruments, EFIS and a bunch of electrics around the TDS Garmin TDS 750Xi.

Haha, that’s exactly what I meant by Kabuki flying – we slip into the role of the confident captain while backstage everything’s on fire. And you’re right: it always happens when you finally carve out an hour of peace for a quick session. Your story from Australia reads like a classic three-act play with a tragicomic finale. I’m starting to think MSFS needs a “Backstage Crew Simulation” add-on. Thanks for the comment – good to know I’m not the only one in the theatre!

The I-153, what has actually happened to the I-153 and I-16 rebuilt in New Zealand? It was one of the last biplanes in combat until the very last ones were withdrawn in 1943 around Mai. . And other biplanes? Gloster Gladiator, 1941 in North Africa and until 1943 (?) in Finland, Avia B. 534 (September 1944, in the Slovakian national uprising against the Germans) Fiat C.R. 42 (night of May 8, 1945) for “partisan combat” somewhere north of Milan.

Good to see FR bring out all these types of Moths with added bonus of your repaints. Saw a British registered Leopard Moth in NZ once. Came over here for a summer. There is one (or 2?) in restoration here but has been that way for many years I believe.

I've just fallen into a curious trap. I thought it was about the Lockheed Jetstar from Big Radial. I installed the thing today and will fly it sometime from Memphis to Van Nuys, which is what Elvis used it for. With Odessa, this bird and the new beautiful Beechraft Starship at Just Flight, I've reached my allotted limit for software this month.... "Memphis to Van Nuys" Looking forward to that flight....don't forget your blue suede shoes :)

I am always happy that there is always room for jokes in the “serious flight simulation” and I am amused by the sheep... This kind of garnish would definitely lead to trouble in the forums. I've been on your forum since 2007 and enjoy the fact that you have room for such humorous interludes.

AI and Autonomous Weapons – A Ticking Time Bomb? I share the concern that we are at a point where control over advanced weapon technologies, especially autonomous drone swarms, is nearly impossible. Recent weeks have shown how fragile and ineffective international agreements like the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty have become. If such fundamental treaties are barely respected and countries withdraw from oversight, why should we expect responsible handling of autonomous systems? Autonomous drone swarms carry the risk of a “worst-case scenario” where malfunctions or uncontrolled actions could...
