Talking about olden Times...and the year "2006".... Anyone remember the flight sim forum; "Simviation"... started by Pete Daly ? I jonined it in 2006, and have been a Member there ever since, popping in every day! It was the Lads in Simviation that dragged me kicking anf screaming into FSNZ in 2010, when a tour of the Australia and New Zealand Coast was organized, and took place, in Multiplayer... on line! The one thing that has always got me permanantlty attached to FSNZ is the "Chat" forum, where i can have fun with evey day! ...and dont forget the Motorcycle...

Time for some new candidates (please)! Otherwise the stand-in by yours truly gets used ... and we don't want that, do we?

Go on and make one Marty, you know you really want to :) My understanding is that pre-Covid, international travel would have been capped by airport time slot availability. The A380 aimed to improve airport throughput within that constraint. The 9000 I believe was a step in the evolution of the design, as air traffic outgrew the base model, and airports adapted to the larger peak loading. Who knows what the post-pandemic world will look like, long term? Emirates are still betting on huge growth: at DXB they can turn around an A380 in 90 minutes,

Dean I had a little confusion also, but here's what the painter says: The T-6G Texan Popeye (N29931) is a detailed repaint for the AT-6 Texan included in the Reno Air Races expansion for MSFS 2020. This repaint is intended for use with Randall Snow's Improvement Mod for the Microsoft/Asobo AT-6 Texan (both MSFS 2020 and 2024), available here:

That is remarkable. My FSFS is getting thicker and thicker. When I “just have a look” at flightsim.to, I feel like a child in a toy store. Oh yes Flightsim.to is a veritable treasure chest.

:hesaid: The Corsair is beautiful. Isn't it amazing that that some of the Virtavia (AlphaSim) stuff is still relevant...having said that, I'm assuming the Hampden you screened is Virtavia .

Well they did it , over and over. I am referring to recreate the bombing missions of Lancester using flight sim to see if the flight simmer can fly it round trip without running out of fuel. I re-created in my FSX real world D-Day mission using DC-3/C-47 departing from air force base in England to fly in pitch dark night to France to air-drop paratroopers and supplies and made back to the sane base in England with ONLY THREE PERCENT of remaining fuel left!!! Imagine if some flight simmer can recreate Lancester mission from England to Germany and back without running out of fuel. Regards,...

... and here it is, doing what it should at NZNE. While the Islander is the Flying Aircraft, the others are FCR trips replayed instead of the annoying AI we are stuck with. It's all rather authentic. As an aside, I thought the Caravan models were too large, but no! It's actually bigger than a BN-2, nevermind it looks like a Skylane. :)

I have to say that particular Singapore Airlines and the Malaysian schemes are better looking than the Emirates scheme.

I like the atmosphere. The sim is just what each of us wants to see in it. In that respect, we have it better than real pilots.
