Nah whoever doesn't win it will feel hard done by, and that's an unfair position for Good Work. But I think there might be an element in a Banner which somehow is more than just a screenshot. So it gives food for thought: what would that be? A story? A meaning to the hobby? A nod to some back story in NZ aviation? These thoughts come to the fore when there's been a great bottle of Cab Sav shared among Great Minds. Tomorrow will be a different story I'm sure :D

Actually, it's easily fixable. Go to FSX/Scenery/1105 folder and make a copy of APX92470.bgl. Extract the data from APX92470 using BGLAnalyzeX and edit the resulting .xml file in Notepad. Change all NZMF elevations from 846.00m to read 3.05m (with the exception of Tower), save, and recompile with the BGLComp executable (found in the FSX SDK/Environment Kit/BGL Compiler SDK). Remember to keep the original APX92470.bgl safe. Edit: Technically, NZMF's elevation is 10 feet, so the correct elevation is 3.048m, but I don't know how well FSX handles that sort of accuracy.

Nice ones Terry, the lovely 747, I sadly fly it less now as it is retiring from service worldwide /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif /> Brings a tear to my eye how the 747-400 flew as the Queen of the Skies for 20 years now. I bet Cowpatz is sitting next to ya as he was a 747 First Officer in real life /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

Nice ones Terry, as well as your classic 747 flight between Auckland and Christchurch, Nice Pics /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= thumbup1.gif /> Wagga Wagga Airport, one of my destinations in FS as I fly between Wagga Wagga and Sydney several times in aircraft like the Q400 and the Q300 of QantasLink and the Saab 340 of Regional Express (REX)

That's what makes NZ so special with scenery .. short hops and photo to fly into, ideal for your 146, i checked the flights out of Wanaka during the 1994 and 96 airshow, bitta grass a dirt did not stop them and even start the take off roll in a curve .

QUOTE (gsnde @ Dec 29 2013,9:22 PM) Indeed I do. It was a Christmas present from my wife, so brand new. What I have seen so far is very much convincing, and the frame rates which I have locked at 30 are not going down below that value. Thanks for that, certainly looks good /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= thumbup1.gif /> Perhaps after I've paid for christmas /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif />

Here are some pics of Christchurch with P3d2 and OrbX Global Vector. Bear in mind this is not photoreal scenery, - it should be compared with FSX default rather than something like NZSI. Ian, - I don't know Christchurch well, don't even know where the centre is, although I guess it must be near the big splodge in the middle which presumably is Hagley Park. Hopefully you can pick out a few other places. I think the residential autogen is the same as that in Auckland, - would be good it we could get the roofs changed to dark and light grey. These pics are late afternoon and I lightened...
