Nah whoever doesn't win it will feel hard done by, and that's an unfair position for Good Work. But I think there might be an element in a Banner which somehow is more than just a screenshot. So it gives food for thought: what would that be? A story? A meaning to the hobby? A nod to some back story in NZ aviation? These thoughts come to the fore when there's been a great bottle of Cab Sav shared among Great Minds. Tomorrow will be a different story I'm sure :D

/biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> Almost had the boundary fence .. I have a subject paint , tho its a Skylane II .. ZKNPC of the New Plymouth Aero Club , I photoed the aircraft on the grass at Christchurch after the 1987 Singapore to Christchurch air race , only reason for the photo was it looked very smart with the race logos and sponsors .

No ... that's what A-A is all about, you see the jaggies more severely at a distance if not set properly. Here's the same sort of shot with Combined 16xS anti-aliasing. It may just be a DX-10 thing, i don't know enough about it. As an aside, you certainly can see how much more vibrant DX-10 is than DX-9, perhaps P3D will implement DX-11 in even more dazzling form.

QUOTE (hasegawa @ Nov 6 2013,4:44 AM) Ian, you told us, that the Sound is good .... are the Engine-sounds different for series 10 to 40? Between the Pratt and Whitney JT3D and the Rolls Royce Conroy is in fact a difference... I have only heard Conway's on visiting VC-10 in the mid 1980s which had that airy sound to it but not as pronounced as a DC-8 , it maybe the height above the ground affect that could change the sound but also maybe even the rear engine layout of the VC10.

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Nov 3 2013,11:35 AM) May explain that white /unsure.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= unsure.gif /> unmarked 747 in the background .... "Hawkeye" Warren... Actually it was in for a quick refit, and after a new rego and paint, off to Chengdu, thank you very much! Interesting to see the TU-154 in this context: it always looks like a real heavyweight, but not in this company. .
