Nah whoever doesn't win it will feel hard done by, and that's an unfair position for Good Work. But I think there might be an element in a Banner which somehow is more than just a screenshot. So it gives food for thought: what would that be? A story? A meaning to the hobby? A nod to some back story in NZ aviation? These thoughts come to the fore when there's been a great bottle of Cab Sav shared among Great Minds. Tomorrow will be a different story I'm sure :D

Most of my time had been trying to get FSX looking as best as possible so enbseries, Shade for FSX, and textures were what I tried to first get right. Once I was happy the screenshots came rolling in.

QUOTE (Charl @ Jun 2 2013,8:04 PM) Matter of interest: in FS9 this one has some FDE and lighting issues, FSX also? Not quite sure on the FDE, but in FSX, the lights (other than the strobes) are built into the model, and are rather dim unless it's pitch black out.

QUOTE (mavman @ May 31 2013,7:02 AM) I'm liking the Air Exec repaint for the C90, is it available anywhere or a work in progress? Yep, it came along with the plane, from Carenado! Lovely visual model actually. Mercifully smart folks in the FS9 community exist who fix the various FDE and other shortcomings, to make a nice plane out of it.

QUOTE (Dean @ May 28 2013,8:06 PM) .. but yes, no autogen. Autogen and photoreal doesn;t really mix too well over large scales... sure, for a small photoreal area it works, but over large scales it is impractical, Being REAL scenery, you can also use it to fly VFR off real charts with a high level of accuracy. Frame rates are also superb (since there is no autogen to chew them up). It's not for everyone, but its popularity is certainly growing by the day! All USA .. BUT ! ... the thing is i've always been a advocate for photo-real .. i simply believe with a source -...

Brilliant Screen and edit /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif /> , you can really get up and close to a Sopwith Pup hanging up in the History section , you then can go upstairs were the aircraft is at the same level and only a meter away , you then can really study the design ... COOL!
