Talking about olden Times...and the year "2006".... Anyone remember the flight sim forum; "Simviation"... started by Pete Daly ? I jonined it in 2006, and have been a Member there ever since, popping in every day! It was the Lads in Simviation that dragged me kicking anf screaming into FSNZ in 2010, when a tour of the Australia and New Zealand Coast was organized, and took place, in Multiplayer... on line! The one thing that has always got me permanantlty attached to FSNZ is the "Chat" forum, where i can have fun with evey day! ...and dont forget the Motorcycle...

Time for some new candidates (please)! Otherwise the stand-in by yours truly gets used ... and we don't want that, do we?

Your screenshots are NEVER NEVER NEVER bother to me. I always marvel at your ability to convert screenshots to Kodak photos. I do have to work harder doing these in X-Plane, unlike FSX or P3D , I have to "fly'' to where I want to take the shots....no slew mode that I can find in XP.. Does XP-11/12 have pause function and replay function? When I want to take screenshot during replays of runway approaches and touchdowns as well as taxiing on the airport of arrival, I used pause function for few seconds while taking screenshot and then resume. When I am flying, I can take screenshots during...

Cheers for the heads up Mike, I was thinking this today and wondering when the A-319 would arrive. I'll update tonight. Would really like to see a nice DC-8 , or an old turboprop....Viscount or Electra .

That and the Beech Staggerwing, in my opinion, are two of the classiest looking 1930s types. Superb shots Charl :)

As Marty says: a nifty little aircraft, good example of cutting edge Czech tech. My favoured mode of rotorwing transport is only marginally slower than its 130 kts - but in the real world, there is something of a price difference! Such a fine playground too: easy to forget the hydro lakes are also an engineering tour de force .

The Piper Warrior was the first type rating I did after gaining my Private pilots licence back in 1978. The aircraft was ZK-DSK, a PA28-151 series 1 (The series 2 came out that year with an extra 10HP). DSK was originally white with a dark green accent colour. Quite a smart livery. It is still flying today but is now painted a rather yukky rustic brown colour. I enjoyed flying it at the time ......but then I discovered Cessnas :D Good god that was 46 years ago!

CP and Simon...thanks for looking, doesn't take much to excite me these days, but this paint , for this model, made me very happy. I'll try not to bore you too much. The black model is on the way...just having a few problems getting my end sorted out.

Absolutely superb shots. My favorites are the RNZAF Kittyhawk, Corsair, Harvards and the Liberator.

The closest we had to the Duck was the Supermarine Walrus. The nose art suits the Duck.

Heh carrying that amount of ballast on the undercarriage would lead to some handling issues for sure. But there was actually a hellava gust system down the coastline on the day. Deane the problem is: trying to keep to the flight plan! There is no spot however unlikely, that ISN'T a perfect place to put down for a looksee :)

Beautiful shots. It's almost like a trip back in time to when the RNZAF used Harvards...once again, I can almost hear them.

Not sure mate, thanks for looking. In 1983 they got some 747s with modified RB-211s giving better fuel economy. Prior to that, the "non-stop" to London paused at Bahrein for fuel, which is probly where the 'topping up at the end of the runway' story came from.

Great shots JK . I wonder what it was like to fly such a large aircraft as a single pilot...and fight at the same time.
