Talking about olden Times...and the year "2006".... Anyone remember the flight sim forum; "Simviation"... started by Pete Daly ? I jonined it in 2006, and have been a Member there ever since, popping in every day! It was the Lads in Simviation that dragged me kicking anf screaming into FSNZ in 2010, when a tour of the Australia and New Zealand Coast was organized, and took place, in Multiplayer... on line! The one thing that has always got me permanantlty attached to FSNZ is the "Chat" forum, where i can have fun with evey day! ...and dont forget the Motorcycle...

Time for some new candidates (please)! Otherwise the stand-in by yours truly gets used ... and we don't want that, do we?

I will remember this sentence, even if my English is terrible. The correctness cannot be disputed. Oh my, how naive we were in 1989. Grin

If you have 40 minutes to spare, then have a look at this; You can of course bypass this in the sim. I cant imagine what went into programming this. Even more respect for the F/E's . I just use what ever I can reach from the left seat ...Co pilot is a good start :)

I would pull up to a stationary hover, let the ships carry on, and then slide left. Looks like fun! Stationary Hover? I'm not up to that page yet. To hover, you must first get off the deck

One of the fine things about the propliner era was that long-distance flights had a lot more legs than they do nowadays B-)

Kai Tak was “the sport of kings”. Spent many a day on top of the chequerboard watching arrivals. The trick was to actually go slightly left of the LOC course once visual and resist the temptation to cut the corner. It gave more track miles and better positioning on to final.

I remember thinking when this thing originally emerged, that it looked as if someone changed their mind about how many pax would make a profit, hence the strange truncated upper deck. There's a Photoshop job waiting, to extend that all the way to the back... Show us yer models, Marty.

Y'know the last time I properly got to grips with them was FS9, you could even use the term "Mastered"! Don't know if the models changed much for the later editions? I do find MSFS2020 very difficult, especially the last couple of metres in a manual landing. Asobo seem to have built in ground and vortex ring state effects, and the mix is not quite right. Having said that, the HG H145 is a cracker. But it has all sorts of stability controls available, just like the real thing.
