Talking about olden Times...and the year "2006".... Anyone remember the flight sim forum; "Simviation"... started by Pete Daly ? I jonined it in 2006, and have been a Member there ever since, popping in every day! It was the Lads in Simviation that dragged me kicking anf screaming into FSNZ in 2010, when a tour of the Australia and New Zealand Coast was organized, and took place, in Multiplayer... on line! The one thing that has always got me permanantlty attached to FSNZ is the "Chat" forum, where i can have fun with evey day! ...and dont forget the Motorcycle...

Time for some new candidates (please)! Otherwise the stand-in by yours truly gets used ... and we don't want that, do we?

Good evening sir, I received a book on the Storch today and after a quick look through it , it mentions fight between the L-4 and the Storch. I'll have a good look at it over the weekend.

The All Black livery aircraft are a nightmare for the engineering staff. Trying to located lightning strike entry and exit points (of which there can be many) is very time consuming. Also some of the gate guidance systems have an issue locking onto the black nose cone. The problem has lessened somewhat since they repainted the nose cones with a different paint, but there is still the odd guidance system that won’t work and requires a marshaller.

Cheers CP....there is a mod to change the engines, but its very complicated. The flight model for this a steep learning curve, I really need a co-pilot and a flight engineer...or two more arms.

Thank you CP .....Nothing compares to the 747. I base most of these shots at Sydney, its a well detailed Airport, and always has a black tail parked in view. I'm trying to get a couple of the X-Plane paint gurus to paint an 8F in fictional ANZ Cargo colours, either the old pre Pacific wave , or the Pacific wave. Anyway, thanks for looking, and I hope all's good with you Sir.

Great post Sir  The Wasp model looks good as well. I have one, plus a Scout in War Thunder ...but very hard to fly. Looking forward to your next mission :)

Thanks for looking fellow simsters.....yep, She's a Biggy alright, and in my opinion , after Concorde, the most beautiful Airliner ever to fly. This package comes with the "Intercontinental" version as well, will screen later, but its the 8F , really floats my boat. Again, thanks for looking.

my goodness they're loud. Thanks that confirms why I had to turn the volume down in the Sim! It's a really well done model all round. In the top left pic you can see the optional checkerboard cheeks atop the engine: these are "mufflers" Lakeview's one had mufflers... it didn't do much I don't think. Ours have particle separators because that's far more important. Very impressive machine given its age. Airbus want them to disappear now.

Well the best tool for that is the Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopter! At 90 learning a new skill should be a doddle! :D Otherwise there might be something for you here:

Mike presumably that is "Cultivation" of buildings etc which doesn't include the land form? Charl - it is an AFS2 scenery which has been upgraded/converted to work in AFS4. From the readme: "Known Issues* - Some models are missing or not orientated correct from FS2 Version - No official elevation data besides default from IPACS, some locations use custom mesh to manipulate terrain. (Some minor floating objects) - Possible Masking Issues with Grid Square Size 14 (Only reported on MAC devices)" There are some clever folk in the AFS community, who have found a way to do...

Thank you, Marty... Paul: yes I reckon it's just the best thing to go almost anywhere, find a real feature, and see how it sits in the world. In MSFS5 about the first thing I did was to wireframe construct my home, and buzz it with that Cessna. What a blast.

Wow ....beautiful screens JK. #2 and 3 are stand outs. I have a soft spot for the Hampden and The Bristol Blenheim . Handley Page had quite a extensive design portfolio , with rather unusual designs, ending with the unmistakable Victor in the military camp, and the Herald in civilian.
