Wow Adam that one made me blink - it belongs on the masthead for the whole month, so much to see! It gets a week only ;) then back to the random banners. I'm using GSX a lot now - and have to say I'm amazed at how much detail they cram into all their systems & animations. I often sit there and do the whole works, catering, icing etc. before the usual boarding and refuelling etc.

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Feb 4 2011, 07:31 PM) Mark , the early MkI KLB without the serial had no fin flash either nor the yellow around the roundel . Thanks for the feedback Ian...where I'm headed with this one is to represent P9390 as she appeared on the day she was spot down over Dunkirkirk. Pictures I have from both Al Deeres "Nine Lives" and Brendon Deeres fantastic book on the restoration of PV270 indicate the she had the yellow ring on the roundel, though it was a non standard width, as well as the fin flash. What I'm not clear on is the colouring of the...

Nice!! First screenshot is wonderful, makes me think that I will have to explore the Hamilton area in the sim a bit. Also good to see a helicopter for a change in the screenshots. smooth landings.

Yep, RealNZ Southern Lakes, real world weather, and not an autopilot or FMC in sight. If you look past the aircraft nose in the third screenshot, then you will see the hills in the background are the default FSX, as the RealNZ scenery ends around Glendu Bay. I for one, am not getting excited about the thought of the new Microsoft Flight, FSX suits me fine. smooth landings.

QUOTE Is it technically cheating if you use the autopilot to maintain a heading and altitude while you concentrate on getting a position fix and tweak the heading/altitude to match? Because that's how I did it. Lacking a co-pilot to fly the plane, and not having 4 arms and two heads. Not at all, in fact I'll give you extra points for good airmanship using the autopilot. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

QUOTE (Adamski @ Jan 30 2011, 12:52 AM) Wow, Andrew ... that's a seriously amazing looking plane!!!! More details please! What's the cockpit like? Sadly the vc cockpit is non existant and the 2d cockpit is the bare bones(it doesn't matter because i love the outside so much). It can be found by searching for avro york on britsim.com(formerly classic british files). Andrew.
