Wow Adam that one made me blink - it belongs on the masthead for the whole month, so much to see! It gets a week only ;) then back to the random banners. I'm using GSX a lot now - and have to say I'm amazed at how much detail they cram into all their systems & animations. I often sit there and do the whole works, catering, icing etc. before the usual boarding and refuelling etc.

Very nice again.....this time i like # 2, the shadow and the lighting give it real depth. Im always amazed by the way the computer renders something as basic (in real life) as a shadow.......the right shape, size, angle. I would like to see the code for just the shadow on that screen. Thanks BigBird

Fantastic shot there and with the rain and the reflections, really atmospheric. Great shot. Perhaps we will all have to go back through the old screenshots and do some editing!! Good excuse to have a tidy up and clear out as well! Smooth landings

QUOTE (BigBird @ Mar 2 2010, 10:09 AM) I need to add a couple of the old propliners to my hangar This one as ugly as it seems would be the ultimate , there is plenty off documentation on systems from A2A , the other propliner , the Lockheed Constellation ... I was sorta disappointed , its good but is missing the charge of the Accusim . QUOTE (Splitpin @ Feb 28 2010, 12:26 PM) Ian, if your looking for a navigator /rolleyes.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= rolleyes.gif /> ......great shots....my favorite piston airliner, also like the Military...

LA-9 is still at Wanaka Ian but hasn't flown for some time /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif /> I'd be keen to join in! Mind you, I'm not sure I have any suitably warlike machines at the moment....I could always just fly the Alphasim Hudson and you lot could escort me? /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif />

QUOTE (happytraveller @ Mar 1 2010, 10:40 AM) Spot on, it is the RealNZ Marlborough, with the standard FSX C208 but with a Soundsair repaint. As usual, reduced visibility to increase the realism, smooth landings. Thanks for that.....guess i will visit their website next....cheers

QUOTE (happytraveller @ Feb 28 2010, 03:33 PM) Just to ask.......is the new VLC hard on frame rates, as I noticed that your fps seem a bit on the low side, or is your computer generally having problems with FSX? Smooth landings. Yeah my computer kinda chugs along at the same speed regardless of what I throw at it /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> My sliders are pretty much maxed there I think so it doesn't do too badly - Remembering that FSX is so much better at allowing immersion with modest frame rates.....you (I) simply don't...

QUOTE (happytraveller @ Feb 28 2010, 03:30 PM) Digital Aviation version, which I think is sold by Aerosoft. Whoever sells it, it is a great add-on!!! Not that hard to fly but the engine management takes a bit of time (especially the engine torque) but providing you stick to the book speed then landing it is fairly easy. Seems a bit reluctant to lose speed if you are too high/too fast, but it is a superb add-on. smooth landings. Thats the one.....i will have to re-install it.We sometimes get one flying around down here....they make a real mean sound.

Argh. Thanks, Ian! Actually, I know this site (took some useful detail information from it, especially concerning the position of the wingwalk area), but didn't notice yet that the first featured, red-nosed Corsair ZK-FUI was a birdcage. Its colour scheme seems accustomed to me... Cheers, Markus.
