Wow Adam that one made me blink - it belongs on the masthead for the whole month, so much to see! It gets a week only ;) then back to the random banners. I'm using GSX a lot now - and have to say I'm amazed at how much detail they cram into all their systems & animations. I often sit there and do the whole works, catering, icing etc. before the usual boarding and refuelling etc.

QUOTE (Charl @ Nov 4 2008, 10:31 PM) Haha yes I asked for that didn't I?? But once G**gle gets some better pics you won't need all that stuff... I know, just waiting there to be downloaded and put in FS...after exams might have to do just that @ toprob if he's reading: have you got permission from AA airport to use thier sat image in your scenery? PS @ Charl: BTW, I've made that poly for NZUN, but just having trouble getting the flatten file working....trying to make one manually via SACAM (?)

Thanks Ian. I see PMDG have done one of these paints for their MD11, so it's not entirely forgotten. I'm just glad the old Air NZ designers obviously didn't like sweeping curves from the fuselage up onto the tail either /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> Cheers Gary

Nice model. Yea you are right no doubt the repaints will come Got rid of the link - it was pic of this one here on display at an airbase in Korea. As this picture shows it almost got wiped out by an F-16 crash.

About the second shot, it is looking out of the area covered by the Southern Lakes Adventure scenery. The quality of the RealNZ scenery really shows just how poor the basic MSFS scenery is, even with a 20m mesh. Got the FSX running at 1920 resolution, which makes things look a lot better, even if it does reduce the frame rates a bit. Also a lot of tweaking to push the laptop to its limits as well, but it seems to be paying off. Much easier to get good screenshots in FSX, and thanks to a tip from another NZFF member (sorry, I forgot who), I am getting higher resolution shots via IFRAN view as...
