Hello, Ian, For the record I was in the US Navy flying the "Barrier" from Barbers Point Hawaii as a sceond tech electronics.. Flew the EC121K to Midway deployment. Flights would last about 12 hours or so up over Alaska and back to Midway Island. This was back in 1963-65 when they decommissioned the squadron. Used to fly test hops for engine replacements from Barbers Point to Christchurch occasoionally if I needed flight hours. Nice bunch of people down here. Friendly bunch. One of our R7V's (cargo version of Connie) was sent to VX-6 at NAS Quonset Point on 1 Sep 64 and named...

Thanks for the comments guys. I should of being more orginal with my rego and perhaps got ZK-NKI ( short for naki) - anyway always wanted a plane with my initials and here it is! Paul, my computer also falls over in the heat so don't feel alone - I have put my desk fan on the floor behind it which seems to work! Have moved the hard drive so it gets more cooling - I wondered whether a desk fan would work :D - now I know Any issues with RealNZ NZRO? No no issues - great scenery and looking forward to Marlborough - should be magic for me as I am normally a VFR flyer also, did yu plan...

You love the Goose don't ya Jon? I am surprised you are not flying in one of your magnificent new ZK- paintjobs though  Love the 3rd from bottom shot- great atmosphere there. Yeah I do, I have become very familiar with its systems now so makes for enjoyable relaxed flying. I like to mix things up and check out all the different 'paint jobs' in FSX, the Sea Bee and Mt Cook goils were get there turn again soon :)

Me, I just pan around and dig the reflections in the windows... I hadn't noticed that in those screenshots until reading your post Charl, now re looking at cirrus' screenies again I realise that those reflections are very realistic! The C206 by Carenado (the only craft that I know of) includes this feature in FS9 and when I first saw it, it impressed me to the max as I know the feeling of taking photographs through glass windows and seeing the annoying reflection of the car/plane interior once processed- so a big  to M$ on this one.

Come to a bit of a stand still at the moment - financial slowdown and with the school holidays trying to beat 3 teenagers for computer time - I have been pottering in the garage attempting to make a gear selector and hopefully will have that done shortly but I think I may have to rework the size of the panel as I think it is a bit high - if anyone has measurements or can find a link to somewhere with the sizings I'd be grateful. also with xmas came FSX and Medieval2-total war so they must be checked out, as well as my sons copy of V8 supercars! :D all that plus a wife that hates...

Looking good Chris :) Apologies for my long absence, being busy at work and having my PC expire have kept me away from FS for a while. I had a chat to my Dad and we looked through truckloads of reference including various pics of Tigers under construction and under repair... and the final definitive answer... Some aircraft have two nose ribs between each main rib, while others have one. We also found written reference to say that there were three nose ribs between each main rib :( We couldn't work out which came first, or what the criteria was for having one or other, but...

27.03%? This is pretty much a walk-over. May as well shut it down now. But it would be weird to see that mug on every forum page for the next month... :) Egads! A whole month! A worthy winner of the "Truly Scary" screenshot contest! NZFF now has an age restriction attached to membership...
