There is so much freeware available... FlightSim Manager 2.8 is more than just a single utility... "From Install Wizard, hangar option, aircraft editor, to complete diagnostic " goes the blurb, and it almost replaces the front end of FS9. One thing it can do is start up FS after flushing all remnant leftovers from memory, which I suspect can help frame rates somewhat. If it has a failing then it is that it is so comprehensive it takes longer to learn than the sim itself ;) Oh and it does have a screen capture module as well. I often use HiJaak Pro, which is a freebie utility I got...

How long does it take? I started this one on Thursday night - on a different plane first - Christian would have preferred the Default DeHavilland Comet, but that doesn't work with the ideas we were having (Only one side skin - mirrored for the opposite side, text would be a problem). Then we thought about planes again - could have done a Dragon Rapide, but then we went for the Tante JU. I had to make a paintkit myself for this one, that took almost the best part of a day - removing the colours but keeping the corrugation in place. In manhours, this skin has probably cost arount 25 - 30...

Nah Man it looks sweet as just a couple of tips for the look of it. 1. Look at the right hand side of the hangar building if you want to get a close enough model bring it back towards the hangar so its about 1.5 / 2.5 meters from the side of the building. 2. The coble stones can just be put in line with the hangar door they are part of the original hangar before the add-on to the hangar was done it used to be where they parked that blue trolley that is normally in the far corner for the squirrels to land on. Otherwise it is looking wicked and like what we were talking about with the hill that...

Cheers guys, appreciated :) @ Trolly: It's part of the Overland package of models, payware but nice visual models and easy on the fps. Didn't use time compression either although I wasn;t in front of the computer for a lot of the time, just check back occasionally to monitor things, continue the step climb etc. I don't know which is most unrealistic, time compression or leaving it  Was only a 12.6hr flight though, try doing WSSS-KEWR or the return...goodbye 19hrs :D

Nice collection you have their Matt, what variation of the A320 is that? It looks particually nice in the jetstar colours ;) Also, what Sydney scenery are you running? It looks like the VOZ afcad for YSSY with the original fs9 photoreal? Very realistic whatever it is!

That little field strip is "Emma Field" from Lago - the private Hangar with the Mustang in front is one made special for about 15 "owners" - each of the hangars is "personalized". And oh, it's not NZ I am afraid. It's in Washington state USA. About half an hour ish west of Seattle. Although there's a great community wrapped around that pack.

Trolly... The first biplane is a Buecker Jungmann - 131. You can get that freeware from Junkers-52.de along with a pretty good model of the Ju 52. The Pitts is a Christen ;) Long Island Classics Christen Eagle. Freeware from Avsim. For information about the Long Island Classics team visit their website here It's a beautiful little plane to fly. And of course, she's the one I have skinned most - hence my website name ;)

I love the Beech 1900D , I understand its quite popular with flight crews as well. Whats even better is that one of the top Add-on companys made it as a add-on . Got to say it looks best in go old ANZ colours. :)
