Talking about olden Times...and the year "2006".... Anyone remember the flight sim forum; "Simviation"... started by Pete Daly ? I jonined it in 2006, and have been a Member there ever since, popping in every day! It was the Lads in Simviation that dragged me kicking anf screaming into FSNZ in 2010, when a tour of the Australia and New Zealand Coast was organized, and took place, in Multiplayer... on line! The one thing that has always got me permanantlty attached to FSNZ is the "Chat" forum, where i can have fun with evey day! ...and dont forget the Motorcycle...

Nice work Craig, if only Mike Stone's models had those 'dynamic reflections' BTW, does anyone know how to make repaints "shiny", do you just have to add an alpha layer or something...? Plus, where can we grad your PAC750 repaints? Have you got DXTbmp - it's a useful little software (free) addon to save, convert and change file formats for all sorts of graphics. Take a windows bitmap and make it "FS9 usable" (and FSX) Get it here OK, open the basic bitmap in dxtbmp - you'll see a menu item "Alpha" Here you can either see the existing alpha if...

A short while ago, I posted the Cheyenne and said that I wasn't perfectly happy with the way the fuselage side stripes wrap around the rear lower fuselage. Well, the maker heard my pleas and gave me a spot of help. First tries are looking good and I now know the curve ratios. I've done a rough fix and this is satisfactory - although still not perfect - but it can be seen and does at the very least, make the rear view look a bit better. Future Cheyenne paints will be much improved - my thanks to Tobias Ahlbrecht for listening to my moans and for helping me above and beyond the normal...

Thanks for all your comments. This pic is the result of my landing at Ohakea where there were very strong crosswinds. I had a bit of a struggle keeping the bird level on approach when I must have bank too far, close to touchdown and a strange grinding noise started, looked outside to see sparks flying. Incidently, I was driving home passed Ohakea one day and nearly went off the road as I saw a 747-400 sitting on the runway in all it's glory. What a sight. These planes do land there from time to time. Is Ohakea used as an emergency airport ? As for my specs. Nothing special really. I'm...

I'll have a look tomorrow , so many to go thru , think the 2707-200 was again not the final layout , bit or simular to what hapened in the early 787 project under the 7E label , lot off info was used from the North American XB70 program and NASA use with General Electic with engine specs and with having the largest moving control surfaces .

hmm nice shot, I wounder why some flights feal so unreal but others are like you say the fealing of being "up there". I think alot depends on fps, if you have a whole flight with no stuters then it seems more like being than watching a slide show on takoff. or is it te clouds? The sound has a big role doesn't it hmm Any way youve captured a nice looking enviroment for flying there :P James

Nice mods ronindanbo! Perhaps you could make the metalwork joins a little more transparent? They appear to stand out a little too much at the momement... yes I agree, I might start from scratch actually

There is so much freeware available... FlightSim Manager 2.8 is more than just a single utility... "From Install Wizard, hangar option, aircraft editor, to complete diagnostic " goes the blurb, and it almost replaces the front end of FS9. One thing it can do is start up FS after flushing all remnant leftovers from memory, which I suspect can help frame rates somewhat. If it has a failing then it is that it is so comprehensive it takes longer to learn than the sim itself ;) Oh and it does have a screen capture module as well. I often use HiJaak Pro, which is a freebie utility I got...
