I add a digital radar altimeter to the top line of sight of the cockpit s I use most
Usually Light twins
My eyes are old and tired and I have found the views in FS over the years unrealistic in comparison to real life (but still fun)

The digital Altimeter stays on at all times giving me an idea of what is happening below me at all times

Above 500' the numbers are green, below yellow and, red as you get close to the ground

It helps me

Hmmm it's awhile since I got the original file. There are two one stops working at 1000' the other keeps going
I think I got the original at DC3 VA in one of their addon cockpits
Or you could try the DC3 cockpits at Bluegrass VA
I'll have a look over the weekend
