Just a rumour, but I heard there is talk of axing MS FlightSim?

Anyone have any further info or clarification on this matter?

It will have to improve somewhat (amount of add ons, better looking a/c etc) before I switch to XPlane.

I take some of that back - a few moments after I stated the above I found this and this..they look pretty good if you are into Ultraights and they are cheap!....maybe we should have an Xplane section here at NZFF in light of recent developments.

Why is everyone panicking about flightsim , Xplane has a hell of a long way to catch up , i could produce screens like that using Flight Unlimited 1 and 2 ... be very next century before i convert , Microsoft Flightsim is just taking a Eagles holiday .

As bias as i am with quater a century of Microsoft , be interesting to have a dedicated X-plane section , It was a Mac that i first used MSFS back in the day of rubbing sticks to get some heat from ya PC .Let see what style and detail X has at a one stop viewing spot . smile.gif

I'm not sure if this has ever been mentioned but why can't the developers of MSFS get together and make their own FS under a new name using the coding that they made? Or even start constructing new code? Then they could get all the profits to themselves....

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Well they'd need alot of investment from someone then after that they'd still need a publisher. Plus imagine how big the engine is, and how much they've learnt over 25 years. Loosing all the code would be a very large hitch, mainly because all their work arounds etc they would've lost.

However, it could still be done.
