Sounds awesome. Well, i will spend some time learning basic IFR flying (like how to manually tune radios etc lol) and give it a go at some point. I admit, it does sound like a ton of fun and a great learning experience.

Have a look here for some tips on flying IFR.

Also take a look at this to help you visualise how a VOR works.
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!
