Well, hows this for a couple of hours work under the hood of Hercules C-130 and sketchup! I introduce to you The Chrome Herc! No environment mapping yet but the Outerra devs are working on it.

You could start a whole new craze in aircraft paint jobs... biggrin.gif Nice work, BTW. Are you building these totally from scratch? Or are you able to import parameters from some database & then "massage" those into a 3D shape? If you're building from scratch, how are you getting / inputting the specs?

Actually, not as hard as one thinks. I use Google 3d models people upload and download from within Sketchup, then I modify the colour scheme. I am trying to work on flying models at the moment using JSBSim flight dynamics here: http://jsbsim.sourceforge.net/aeromatic2.html
