It gives both "map" and "satellite" views*.
I finally "purchased" the program, but the only real difference between pay and free version is that the paid for version shows ground elevations/terrain (mountain details).
Paul.....I use both Plan-G and FS Tramp....fantastic for flight planning and Radio Navigation, and watching AI and Multiplayer aircraft in real time (Radar!) !

...the same as it did/does in our trusty old FS Navigator!!
