P3D alternative add-on install method: instructions

Postby Adamski » Sun Jul 09, 2017 5:13 pm

I've created a set of instructions for installing add-on aircraft to a folder outside the P3D root:
P3D_Alternative_Install.zip.

This method is particularly useful for installing older add-ons that may try to install old versions of gauges, sound or effects files in your default P3D locations. It is also the method recommended by LM, but only a few developers give you the option to do it this way (A2A, Ant's).

The zip contains instructions, a couple of BATCH files and a diagram, using an import of the Aircreations Ultralight from FSX as an example.
