Yikes Runway 23!!!!

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Yesterday, I participated in Vatsim's non stop 24 hour New Zealand event called Cross Ditch 16 hosted by VATNZ.

Thanks to all New Zealand controllers for great non stop 24 hour event!!! I flew TWO flights in that event!!

I never knew that runway 23 landing for NZQN Queenstown would be allowed in Vatsim and in real life!!!! :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: I thought only runway 05 would be allowed for NZQN Queenstown airport

I had extremely hair raising approach to NZQN runway 23 through surrounding mountains but managed to land successfully!!

23 is the preferred runway as the 05 STAR and approach goes quite a bit further to the SW.

It's good fun on a good visual day and positively scary when your in IMC and the GPS stops working.
