These are the settings I have, and I hear all I want to (sometimes more). I am not aware of any other settings which could stop you hearing the ATC, but still hear other sounds.

Hey many thanks I will do a compare. I am busy over the weekend but will send try and send a exact layout of mine. Its strange as well when you ring Microsoft for tech game support they have never heard of FSX.

It was the sound card drivers that were the problem

That is a very typical plop with problems , it really dose not take much before the lot turns to custard !

Anyone fixing the Glitches for Wanganui airstrip. I flown in real life many times out of there and never seen a control tower on the end of the strip on the runway

Cripes a Control Tower .. , well no .. trees are a little big but no tree huts.
