I see that AirNZ are sending down a 747 tomorrow,

In addition, Air New Zealand will operate a return Auckland-Christchurch service tomorrow utilising a Boeing 747-400, with seats available at the $50 fare.

Times for the special additional flights are as follows:

* Depart Auckland 10:30, arrive Christchurch 11:50
* Depart Christchurch 13:20, arrive Auckland 14:50

hope that everybody is ok

Smooth landings.

Huge relief when I logged in and saw the last post in a thread was from Ian at 11:32pm - that answered that one, and then to hear that all the others are ok ... phew ! Ian, your blood's worth bottling. Yell out if you think of anything practical we can do to help.

Really glad that you guys are all ok. Anyone still in contact with Beverley Howard Smith? She use to live right next to the river close to the centre of ChCh. She's one of the last I haven't been able to check up on.

I'm saddened that my dearly loved city is getting pulled apart, but glad that the spirit is fighting on. I feel for the families that may of not only lost homes, but loved ones. Sending all my thoughts through to you all.
When asked what I have contributed to on this earth my reply will be my daugther

Hi All,

Pleased to see most of you are alive and well, really shocked to see the cathedral and buildings in such a mess. We where in Christchurch this time last year and would have found ourselves in the disaster.
So best of luck to all in Christchurch and Canterbury, hope you get all the help you need.

Kind Regards

Not much worse on God's green earth than a major quake. Sympathies and best wishes for recovery to all who were hurt - not much you can say about the damage.

My thoughts are with everybody who is affected by this disaster. I saw the pictures in "NZ Herald": unbelievable - so many places I know from holidays are destroyed!

Morning Guys

Glad to see Ian and Rob are ok, I was on the big red trucks pretty much straight away checking out Lincoln Hospital uni etc, then straight to town and what you see on TV is only half the story she is real mess roads are inpassable and of course the building collapses. Finally got to bed round 11pm and awake to report to the station at 1 am to see if we needed to go back to town to help out luckily we got stood down. Lets see what today brings.

Be safe everyone in CHCH
