Hello. I'm a new member & have just got AITUTAKI AIRPORT, NCAI, which has this "You will need the EZ Scenery Basic Library installed in your "Static Objects Library", and "You will need the following Standalone EZ Scenery libraries installed in your "Static Objects Library". I've searched FS9 but can't find a Static Objects Library.....I've installed the Abacus EZ scenery basic library (at least the installer said it was in FS9) but I can't see it, so I'm feeling a bit bemused & confused. There was a Static Objects Library folder with NCAI that I put into Addon Scenery (& added to the Scenery Library. Is that when I'm supposed to do?

Also I read : NOTE 1 !!
If you already have my NCRG Rarorotonga scenery installed, you do not need to follow this install step, as you will already have these items in your Object Library.
Move the files from the "Static Objects Library" folder, to their respective "Scenery" and "Texture" folders in your object library. If asked to overwrite anything, say YES.
I do have NCRG but what goes where. I've never seen such confusing instructions before.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Terry.

You will need to download the files, its not a part of FS9 try :

Snowman's FlightSim Addons.
http://snowman.ozsimdev.com.au/

look under Downloads___Snowmans Static Object Library

Files should be placed in the Addon Scenery file, then activated in the settings menu in fs9

That sounds like AGN houses that are missed in a exclude file ,this mite be due to when it was made they had lower setting on agn when placing the objects and wasent picked up on the beta ,a exclude file will be needed for this if it is agn ..

another thought ,i know these objects are all placed with a 20meter mesh and topo installed ,the topo and mesh change coastlines ,and if lawrie placed some houses there it mite of been land with these addons installed and water without ?

do you have the payware RBE 20meter and topo installed ,you will know if you do as it always cost a arm and a leg to buy dry.gif

Please Note,.............
The default FS9 Cook Islands are incorrectly shaped and located.
All the Cook Islands Sceneries i have built are built specifically to fit the RBE / Sim Pilot Experience Cook Islands Scenery ( Mesh and Topo).
They will not work properly in the default.
This is stated clearly in the beginning of the READ ME and INSTALL documents with the Aitutaki scenery ( and ALL other Cook Island ones i have done).
From those documents.................

This scenery is designed and built to fit the RBE / Sim Pilot Experience "Cook Islands Scenery" (payware),
by Christian Stock.
It has not been tested in the freeware Cook Islands Mesh that is available, or in FS9 default.

I did read that but apart from those sea-girt buildings everything else appears to work alright. I'll put it down to sea rise due to global warming.
But if this is for a payware product why is it on a free site? cool.gif

Why,............. simple..............

No different to my New Zealand Airport sceneries that are built to fit the RBE / Sim Pilot Experience 20m mesh and Topo...............
Its the basic standard that most of us build to for the area, both freeware and payware scenery builders.
Why would you want to build a replica of an airport in the incorrect default location anyway..........

Well, that'll teach me to keep my newbie mouth shut. I thought it looked nice but as AI won't use it I've deleted it. I shalln't get any more - once bitten.....

Most of the New Zealand sceneries work fine in the default without the Topo installed, and you can get a freeware 75m version of the payware 20m mesh
Most of the NZ sceneries also work fine in the freeware 75m mesh by Christian Stock.
