Hello Folks

Just want to share with you guys - I discoverd there is a new and amazing SW for simulating ATC. This one is the real deal. I know everybody says that - but trust me - this one is.

The SW was written by real world ATC guys, they also wrote SW for teaching real world controllers, and they have connection with AIRWAYS NZ of some sort.

You can have a demo version - and the price for the basic part is very affordable - I guess not for long :-)

I recommend it to all of you guys - try it.

Wow - that's pretty full on!! The mazes look alot like the scenarios we trained on for realworld Area Radar training - particularly GridX......

Bit out of my league this one. The training would be great but just too expensive for me and the FULL ATCX package only has Hong Kong and I am unsure if other scenarios will be available.
I am not really sure what target group this product is pitched at. Is it a game or an endorsed training package?

Folks, let me shine some light on this SW.

This SW is a new approach, NEVER done before ! I have played with almost every ATC simulator out there (I like the challenge) but never before we could have a real world training SW. Most of the countries until this day, train there people in the "one on one" system, hence the lack of computer aided program.

The basic part is actually teaching you the same methods as real world ATC boys. It starts with a simple maze when you need to vector aircraft, using SR then another one which is more complexed, (not easy as it seems), then comes the Grid part you need to vector airplanes without having the ability to change their altitude and speed - if you think this is easy - give it a go.

The last part is the "diamond" where you learn how to sequence aircraft within a set distance and of course use the knowledge you had before.

If you had ever seen a SW doing this - let me know, I did not.

I am not in the stage yet to get the HK part - since I am still struggling with the Grid part, but from the demo movie - it looks as the real deal.

It is a brand new product, they are working on it right now to make it better for the gamers side (They did this only for the pro market, not knowing about the huge gamers community) more scenarios, random machince which can generate endless scenarios' etc.

The new concept is something I was waiting for so long - this is why I wanted to share this with you.

Cheers

Isaac

This is EXACTLY how my realword area radar training on the simulator was structured. I start training on the live platform at the end of October......... one thing to note is that the visuals are slightly different than the Skyline radar system used here in NZ.......

From what I have understood - the VV is based on the EuroCat which is a very advanced system I have been told.

In the SW - you can choose one out of three diferrent radar systems - the Visual Vectoring (VV), the EC and HK sytems which are used in diferrent parts of the world, and have some unique features for each system.

However I am sure the principal is the same regardless of the Radar system.

What I like the most about this SW - is the NEW CONCEPT - which gives the gamers out there to have a go on a "real world" training system.

Enjoy
