It copies some of the effects of FaceTrackIR and the freeware one that I tried but found to be far too fidgety to be useful, on my gear anyway.
This simply pans left and/or right as you bank the aircraft and gives a view just about where I would want to be looking as a pilot. So far I
have been very pleased with it and at this stage plan to leave it installed. It doesn't effect the use of the "hat-stick" at all, just gives the same effect
without the drama. Makes lining up landings much easier.
If you use the hat-stick and select a view (e.g. 90 degrees out the right window) it holds the view for about 3 seconds and then returns to a centre
view out the windscreen.
The only downside I have found so far is that if I select a view of the aircraft from side-on (outside) it again holds for about 3 seconds then pans back to
behind the plane. This would make taking screenshots a bit tricky although it is simply switched off.
The program loads outside of FSX (I have it on my desktop) and is simply started after FSX is loaded.
Would be interested to hear how useful others find it.
Some other member mentioned this in an unconnected thread which I can't locate, so thanks to that member....
