After my DC-8 post in the screenshot place , i got too thinking ,there is something lacking in FSX.... and it is the lack of good quality “vintageâ€￾ jets. While the HJG Caravelle’s ,707′s andDC-8's are for fs2004, they function to some degree in FSX, but no support is available.

Hopefully with time, FSX will match FS2004 in addons..... well at least a good FSX DC-8 would be nice.

HJG Are great but like so much and many FS2004 , FSX Peaked , now a we add and build on it , go's with both platforms FS9/FSX .. think both are still going to not compete but help peoples on the earlier platform , still plenty of scenery for 9 and ... heck recent further updates for FS98 biggrin.gif , now ya gotta give those boys Credit winkyy.gif

I think there is a DC-8 in development.

But other than that, I'm not sure what's going to be available in the vintage jet realm within FSX.
Apparently Dave Maltby's BAC 1-11 works well from what I've heard, and of course "my" Tu-154 first flew in the late '60s and was prevalent in the '70s.

Other than that, look towards Captain Sim for the 707 and older 737 models. I too would love to see a Caravelle appear in the future!

Sean we never had the super63's in the NZ - be nice to get the early 50 series , away from the US types , the Caravelle , there was a model released a few years back , can't recall the details or for what platform .

Dont think much of the Caravelle ...... it was a Comet with an odd rear end. 707's ...yes, awesome beasts , and still going. (screens later)

Avonhead primary , 1971/72 i was corrected by a teacher , Mister Vintiner or Mister Benson can't recall , i called it a 'Car' 'a' 'Valley' or least that was the way i spoke it tongue.gif and this was when i was making wicked cardboard models of the Mirage smile.gif

Oh my French was so good back then , sorta a little like my English today .

Regarding the Caravelle,

AlliedFSGroup (AFG) released one (non-vc) for FS9 a few years ago, but that's the only one that ever appeared I believe.
