Yessir, I'm on it!
This was kind of inevitable, but also a process which needed to be gone through. I have no doubt that FTX NZ was a great success for Orbx, in that it was a proof-of-concept for FTX EU, but they are still up against the fact that NZ's 4 million people doesn't really make a viable market. There are only so many wealthy citizens of the world who would support such a project, the rest of us really prefer our own locale.
It's still going to be an issue that a low population equates to just a handful of local developers. There will still be NZ scenery, though, we just needed proof that here in NZ we really have to do this for love, rather than money. No, that doesn't mean I'm going freeware, it just means that doing this for a living won't mean making any more than a livable wage. I hope.
Now that Orbx have 'moved on' to some extent, though, it might be a good time for me to talk to them about an 'official' Orbx version of Wellington...

It was nice to see JV giving you a compliment on your scenery Robman......now if I was JV I would be going down the track off, 'NZ scenery is all yours to do under the ORBX banner', in otherwords they should offer you a 'paying' developer position.
Just my thoughts.....
Cheers

well here's hoping you can get a few more Robman.
I really do like the ORBX platform, and with your scenery added like Tauranga etc... it is just perfect.

Come on do it! I own both Orbx Sth & Nth Island but haven't installed them (using Vector Land Class) because I love flying into your Wellington (Orbx patchless of course) along with every other airport you have published. An Orbx release of your new work would be amazing!
Cheers,
Mark
