That is one amazing photo, i took when out ballooning the other afternoon

... looking into the N/west skies in the evening these contrails really show up in the setting sun , has to be that specific weather to create the affect but if you spot it is impressive .

Only way to get home

, recent visit out the back of Christchurch airport i mention to this family on a humid day with a good pair binoculars you could see the compression cloud across the top of the wing on the 747 .. i have not seen the same affect on the the 777 .. look at the size of that vortex .. so cool !
