Convair 580F ZK-CID S/n 385
The cockpit has already been stripped bare, no instruments, control column/ rudder pedals ect.
Removed to service other ACL convairs.

Hi ya Cyrus, Welcome to NZFF , the Convair 580 .. take all that stuff out , I'll just replicate it in card-board or get some other wobbly bits put in

Its already gone, however I have many of the items here that are of no use to our other aircraft. All the instrument panels are not worth the space it takes to store them.
The seats were removed, which were in really nice condition. But I do have a set of crew seats from another convair which are unwanted.
The control column was removed since it was in really nice condition and one of our other convairs need its one replaced in April. The one we remove from that aircraft will likely be scrap.
Overall it was a real shame to scrap that aircraft, structurally it was perfect. But we never had the time or money to return it to service and we never had much use for a full freighter.
But if some of you guys do end up with the cockpit and want some old bits to put it back together with let me know.
