Just in case the serious simmer in you has not tried this yet.
Take a few minutes to look at this video and see what it is capable of....amazing stuff and it is freeware/donation ware.
You really don't need to spend $$$ on PFPX.

Take a look. Best viewed on the tube at 720.

I have never had a chance or thought to play around with a flight planner, might be something else to have a twiddle with.

I have been using this for a few months, quite like it. Only thing I have found is enroute winds dont always agree with ASN, but they are "forecast winds". I would recommend taking a look if you are Iinto IFR tubeliners

Been a while since I have done a planed flight, that was using the default , cancel the IFR so only to keep within airport perimeter and the thing that I could not understand is once had permission to land following the IFR/ILS track and everything by the numbers you find traffic directly in front of you.

Know what you mean, that ai traffic seems to follow a different set of rules to me, overtaking when I'm cleared to land on short final!

The thing I find a lot is the AI when I fly using a filed flightplan tend to land coming straight at me (EG: I'm coming in on 23 at AKL and they are coming in on 05) despite the weather supposedly being for 23. Madness. It doesn't seem to adapt very well

Havent had that problem, but been keeping an eye on pro-atcx, meant to be way better than default atc, but has a few isues that are supposedly being fixed in a soon to be released upgrade. Will see what happens... oops, sorry to OP, got a little off-thread here...

Yes, I got fed up with AI and turned it off altogether for the same reason. They always try to land and take-off exactly when I do....

Same goes to ATC... disabled it a long time ago... Couldn't find any good ATC programs for VFR, and I don't see it coming...

On the other hand, I'm doing VFR trips to small airstrips in the middle of nowhere, so I can live without ATC smile.gif

For flight-planning it's a combo of Google Earth and Plan-G...

Yes this is strictly tubeliner stuff really. Good for those in VA's or online with IVAO or VATSIM.
