Prepar3D 2.5

Currently downloading this, it's a big file, as there's no update option this time around. Still, it wouldn't hurt to reinstall, I never reinstall stuff (never reinstalled FSX, or Windows, for instance, seems like too much trouble...) so I'll be looking forward to see if a nice clean install makes any difference.

I've been doing without P3D for a couple of months, just to save a few bucks, but I've splurged out this week and bought another month -- although I have been enjoying FSX lately, that initial view once P3D loads up still blows me away.

Installed the trial of Active Sky Next for P3D yesterday, wow, it's great to have real weather back in P3D, and so simple to use. Once my week ends, I'll need to decide whether to buy it, but at the moment my credit card is once again 'out of action'.

Another new toy is a Saitek yoke/throttle combo, very generously donated by a member here, I don't know if I can mention his name, but you know who you are:)

Anyway, back to work, 55% downloaded so far, an hour to go.... I'll report back when I get it installed.

I only had chance for a quick flight with 2.5 late last night but so far it's looking good with a further noticable performance improvement from the already excellent 2.4.

Exciting times   :D
