AI traffic

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

AI traffic

Postby dart15 » Sat Mar 21, 2015 4:29 pm

I very much appreciate FTX AI and only wish it could be extended to the UK which, after flying in NZ, is like a wasteland by comparison. Does anyone know if Ultimate Traffic can be customized so as to exclude the NZ region or perhaps recommend a better product?

I have the UK set up to preserve many of the cold-war and WW2 airfields that, sadly, are now closed. Apart from the few military AI packages that I have installed, the skies are empty. I just want to be able see and hear other aircraft in the same airspace.

I to do have the Ultimate Traffic package and 360 , I never thought to try out the General Aviation , one off the best people to ask in regard to this area would be Charl , very up to date and knowledgeable in this specific area.

I deleted my FTX general A .. least reduced it , truthfully never played around in this arena .... One thing I can do is cut those West Melton trees down for you.

Hi

Does anyone know what the best AI is for FSX world wide. I use ultimate traffic 2 and find it really good but some of the smaller aircraft like the Q300 and ATR 72s just don't look and sound rite. I have seen some really nice Q300s in Air New Zealand Ai, but no one comments what they use. :plane:

See my post above... UT2 is convenient, but quite a few of their models are Project AI models dating back to around about 2003 (Back when I was working for Project AI). World of AI use more up to date models for a lot of their packages (Still have 3 PAI planes in the lineup)

As for me personally I grab a list of all the currently active airlines in the world then go through it one airline at a time, finding the flightplans, the models, the repaints and compiling it myself. Very time consuming but generally more complete than anything else going...

For Australia and NZ just grab the FTX pack, up to date as it needs to be and a lot less hassle than building your own...

Ahem, it is called GNZLAP.
For fs9 but with a little effort works in Effeh Sex.
It includes re-paints for the HTAI Cessna's (half the GA fleet) which unfortunately could not be included in the FTX package.
