Which hold entry type should I use?

I'm trying to figure out which type of hold entry to use for entering the holding pattern at the Jersey VOR. It is part of the missed approach procedure for the ILS RWY 26 approach Jersey (EGJJ). I've watched a couple of educational videos on the topic but can't decide whether it is going to be a parallel or teardrop entry.

I don't know how to share the chart which is in PDF format.

The hold is only required as part of the loss of comms procedure. If that is what you are referring to, then it would be a parallel entry back into the hold at the JSY VOR.

Really? I didn't know that. I thought it was an extension of the missed approach procedure. Then how does one exit the hold if there are no comms?

Once established in the hold there would be time to investigate the cause of the loss of comms ie. Is it just the freq being used (try another), change radio units, test call other aircraft and even try calling on a cell phone. Emergency services calls may be able to "patch" you through to a controller. By this stage you should already have the transponder code set to 7600 and all landing lights on etc. Once in the hold at JSY, descend in the hold to 2000ft and commence the approach (If you intend to try another approach that is ), or set heading for your filed alternate airfield. Keep transmitting your intentions as you might not be able to hear them but they may be able to hear you. Radar will be monitoring your progress and ensuring that traffic is kept out of your way. Once visual on the approach look at the tower for light signals - Green = cleared to land. Red = give way and continue circling (maybe not an option with weather) and flashing red = airport unsafe Do Not land.

Probably way more than you wanted to know.

@cowpatz Yes, that is a lot of information but very interesting. Thank you!
