What is your fs2004 addon wish list?

Mine is as follows:
• Pureflight-Simulations S-2 Pitts Ultimate
• REAL NZ Wellington
• Just Flight Lancaster Bomber
• Feelthere Caravan
• Red Baron Cook Island Scenery
• HTAI models (When GNZLAP is fully released)

I think it will be interesting to see what everyone is wanting, and if there will be any general trend among us kiwi simmers...

Just back from holiday (Denmark), and now a wishlist (Christmas coming?)
What do you think for a dutchman?
Yes, all the mesh & scenery stuff of NZ ofcourse, and a renewed DH Dash7 with vc.
That's all (had an expensive holiday.)

Max.

• HTAI models (When GNZLAP is fully released)

C'mon Trolly you know that isn't going to happen in your lifetime!
How about after the first 100 NZ aircraft are packaged?
At 15c per, that's got to be some motivation, yes?
(Y'know, I think I should give Henry T a call, the rate I'm plugging his product B) )
Which leads me to my present wish list of 1 + a bit:
I wish HTAI would build their darn Pipers, and 10 other GA AI modellers would jump out of the woodwork to up the ante.

A sim with Global map consisting of aircraft addons that are fully modeled both military and civilian with full Avionics/damage/crash/weapons and physics modelling. Addons consisting of vehicles, FPS, Ships, Submarines and Helicopters. Home built cockpit and MFD/HUD support. Advanced Flight model on all aircraft with a single global roaming server for conflicts online.

Well to be honest my wish list starts with a 4.8gig CPU and all that goes with to run FSX as it was meant to be. (I presume you'll be happy with a graphics card that goes properly, for now at any rate!)

I realize many of you will not consider my wish an addon as such but on reflection if I have a fairly good sim and I want this 'addon' specifically for FS then well...

I'm hoping there might be a heap of addons (traditional) coming up soon at almost throw away prices due to not being able to run very well (if at all) on FSX.We know already from comments by Christian and Robin that a lot of their addon's are not that good on FSX without major modifications, and as such a lot of developers will start from scratch rather than try and release some type of patch.

This hopefully for us may mean at least old FS9 stock going quite cheap.

However, to answer your question I think it has to be 'Track IR4'.

1. A really, really, REALLY nicely-done Nanchang CJ-6a (good-looking and functional VC, true-to-life flight dynamics, perhaps some Kiwi syndicate paint schemes, authentic sound)

2. RealNZ Omaka and Woodbourne.

3. A PC capable of running FSX.

My one wish (pretty unrealistic if you ask me :lol: );

More people designing, creating, and releasing great aircraft for free.

I would certainly agree with K5054NZ. A nanchang would be wonderful.

2. Omaka was my first choice as an 'airshow' scenery, as the folk at Omaka -- mainly Allan Udy, who is pretty switched on when it comes to promoting the Classic Fighters airshow, have been very supportive. It was just a matter of timing that Wanaka beat it to release. That's not to say that it wouldn't make a great airshow scenery, and with the airshow coming up next year it may be the ideal time.

1. I've actually made a start on a Polikarpov I-15, as this is my all-time favourite at Wanaka. However, this is a long-term project -- at the current rate of development it may take 5 years:)

3. I think I'm in the same position as I was with the release of FS9 -- it looked good, and I knew I wanted it, but it just wouldn't run fast enough on my old machine. FSX is the same -- because my machine is alll of 3 years old, it just won't cope with FSX.
At the moment I'm still pleased with my FS9 performance, so I'd be included to hang onto it, It makes sense for me to upgrade for FSX (as soon as I can afford it) but for folk who don't try to make a living out of FS, it may not make the same sense.

;) I wish we had a thumbs-up smilie. Great minds dream alike....and so do we...

Robin, I think the folk down at Omaka would be pretty chuffed to see their little slice of heaven respresented in the FS universe with your fine work. Plus, I'm sure Allan Udy, Graham Orphan et al would be more than happy to give you as much assistance as you may need for developing it regarding layout during the airshow, the airfield itself, and of course the aircraft based there (if you wish to include such varied static a/c). If the screenies of Wanaka are anything to go by (WOW....I can't wait until I have some dosh going spare to throw your way for that) any Omaka will turn out to be a real must-have.

It goes without saying though that when the airshow isn't on an AI Nanchang would HAVE to be out and about doing circuits B) ....

BTW - I-15? Not an I-153?

B) I do the Mail Runs. I'd like a better set of Boing panels as well. While I like what I have , and FSNav makes a reasonable FMC , I have yet to find anything even resembling an EMS. Yes , the guages are there, but you cant SET EPR !
Best takeoff and best climbout cannot be set. Sure, you can ROUGHLY dial in APPROXIMATE settings, .....so I am a happy enought Mail Man.....but.....

ATC. Hands up who like doing a Magical Mystery SIDS ? Hands up who likes burning an extra 1000 lbs doing Weird & Whacky STARS ? Thought so.
While programming in a good real time ATC would be an enourmouse task, I do feel there are some simple improvements that MS might have made.

Yes, you can cancel IFR. You can request Visual. But Gee Whiz Wilma !
Now I know why VATSIM run their own live ATC !

The flying environment is just so upgradeable. PAI & VOZ & all our developers rock ! Sharing airspace with ANZ & QANTAS ( et al ) is eggscellent !
I can put up with the " faults ". Compared to ATC, they r pretty trivial really.

We are in the process of changing the DEFAULT AI so they show as TASMAN , and the boss has the .WAV so ATC make the right call. I just dont like " Skidmark" Airlines. And those accents !!! There ARE voicepacks out there that are more than a poor modification of the default voicepacks ???? ( please....say yes ....)

Yep, great topic. Kool forum. C Y'all later,
Toz

I think I'd Just be happy (at the moment)with 2 repaints of the DC3.1 in NAC and 1 in SPANZ colours for 2004

Yep, I'm with you gokanru. Top of my wish list would be the NAC Skyliner DC3, and the SPANZ Viewmaster DC3. Please, anyone got a set of paintbrushes capable of attacking the FS2004 Default DC3 for these 2 classic historical Kiwi repaints ???
