Hey guys,

I just did a flight from KMDW to KBOS (Boston) and did the 33L ILS using a DME (Forgot its name) and autoland activated about a minute after the localizer intercept, when it came to landing heres what happened:

1. Plane began descent at the ILS start.
2. Plane entered runway at around 100ft.
3. Plane began to flare, but did not hold around 10* or whatever it should, kept climbing.
4. Stalled, Bang.

One thing the Autoland DID NOT control was the throttles, do i have to control them? can someone help me with the throttles, and do i need to set the airports altitude anywhere like on the overhead? or in the FMC...

Ive nearly perfected autoland i think but just need help on...

Throttles
Airport Alt
... and anything else i may need.

Also, its a Level-D 767-300ER (GE) (United)

Thanks!

Did you have the Auto throttle switch on?

The autothrottle must be engaged, and the speed hold function.

Set the speed hold to Vref30+5+half of the wind component. When you engage this on the approach, the thrust control section of the autoflight status area on the EADI will display SPD AT, with flare armed in the vertical section and rollout armed in the lateral, as the FLARE mode engages IDLE will display in the thrust section of the autoflight status area. During the rollout the autothrottle will disengage and you may engage the thrust reversers.

I would rather do it manually myself.

Thanks
James
