Help with ai traffic

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hello :D

I took the plunge into ai traffic yesterday, I was advised to use PAI ,so I downloaded the installer and the airnew zealand pakage.

I ran the instaler sellected the airnz file and it installed it (i think it did  )
So i took of at NZCH then at NZWN then at NZAA and in all of that only saw two anz 733 and a whole heap of defualt traffic :(

Is there anyway I can disable all the default ai all at once? And just build up the traffic threw downloading new airline packages?

And why are there only a couple of Air new Zealand aircraft when I installed the pakage, oh and once iv got this sorted out id like to be able to edit the ai flight plans cos I noticed when installing the anz package that the plans were from 2003.

Thanks a heap
James :)

Howdy Jimmy,

To disable the default ai traffic simply rename traffic030528.bgl to traffic030528.bgx. This .bgl is found in your C:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator 9\scenery\world\scenery folder.

Best to trawl the AvSim Library for the latest NZ/International timetables. PAI provide okay aircraft base packages; their timetables, however, appear to be woefully out of date. Much prefer Aardvark and John Murchison's AI (ARNZ). Looking at my schedules, the latest combined ANZ/Link timetable I have is Winter 05 (Dec 2005 - Feb 2006).

Maybe you need to slide your traffic setting up higher.

This can be accesed via the ALT menu bar in flight, then Settings, Traffic
