Payware Aircraft

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

I have just purchased the new Saitek joystick with the 2 throttles from VR Concepts.
It was interesting to note that they have the CH Products rudder pedals and yokes etc... for sale as well.
They also had a couple of payware aircraft in their products list, so I have asked them if they would be able to source the Captain Sim C130 FSX Pro Pack, Wilco 737 and a few others.
I was wondering if there are many of you that would be interested in purchasing some of these add ons.
I believe that the more interest they get, the more they will stock.
I have always been hesitant to do a credit card transaction over the internet, and VR offer internet banking transfer options.
I thought that it was pretty good that there is no freight/postage charge within NZ.
Your response would be welcomed.

Definitely go for the CapSim and PMDG stuff, great quality. Maybe they'd be interested in Robin's NZ sceneries?

For sure, anything that we can do to help Robin sell his wares works for me.
He has been the backbone for NZ scenery and is one very talented individual, and will help you.....even when you ask some pretty dumb questions (speaking from experiance....lol).
The angle I am coming from is to try and have a one stop shop here in NZ for us simmers for software and hardware.
I dont know if VR are aware of NZFF, but when I have had a reply about from them confirming an interest instocking add on aircraft, I will let them know.
Maybe I could put forward a list made up from response and interest from all you guys out there.

Yeah, VR concepts have a lot of great things on there, and fairly cheap too! Especially the free postage. I've been eyeing the computer system they build and sell for a long time, just have to get around to organising somehting with the olds ^_^

My original business plan included an online store selling all the third party addons I could get hold of, but there are a few reasons why this didn't happen. One of them is VR Concepts, which does a good job of this already. From a FS addict's point of view, they could do with a lot more product, but I understand why this is tricky. Bringing boxed products into the country means adding freight and GST, which makes it difficult to compete with the overseas suppliers.
However I don't think that they'll ever handle my scenery, as my own 'store' already has all their capabilities, except that I don't courier. I do use the same payment methods though -- credit card, bank/internet transfer, Paypal, even old-fashioned cheque... oh, and cash if you live locally:)
On the other hand, I have been thinking lately that it may be the right time to put my scenery into some real stores. I just need to find the ideal chain. Maybe later in the year it may be quickest to buy my scenery from the Warehouse...

I have been thinking about getting a throttle quadrant and yoke for the past few months. Is the CH Products brand any good. Have seen some for sale on Trade Me in the $300 to $500 range. What does the forum say about the product and the prices offered. Thanks.
