Hi folks,

Installed Acceleration last night and man did my FPS jump up! Getting a good 30+ fps now which is really cool on my crappy laptop. Anyway the only issue i'm having is in my 3rd party freeware tomahawk the virtual cockpit has gone all opaque and shiny and I cant see out the Window? Cant see the prop either or the main panel correctly. All other outside and standard cockpit views are fine just the VC has gone opaque/metallic. Tried removing and re-installing it but no joy. All the standard aircraft are fine.

Anyone come across this by any chance? I've just realised that the justflight model doesnt work with sp2/accell accordingto their website sad.gif

Paul

Paul , the early version of FSX pre SP1/SP2 we were able to install many 3rd party addons , as the patchs were introduced many models stopped working and many others designed with created problem to the unknown , me an example when first purchased the Nemeth CH53 , end of the day , if you enjoy the model have both FS9 and FXS installed .

This is likely due to the dropping of support for dxt3 (? IIRC) textures after SP2......Make a copy of the texture and then open the offending texture in imagetool (if you have the SDK included with the Deluxe version of FSX). Save it as Dxt5.

Do a search for "FSX Sp2 Dxt3" on google if you need more information
