Hi guys,

Earlier this year I started my South Island Tour with a Cessna Grand Caravan. It never really felt right. The plane was too big and did not feel very personal or intamate. I am carrying on the tour from Haast, where i left off and i need a new aircraf. What do you recommend?

Thanks, SB.

Meeting you somewhere between the two, I've been blasting around the skies in Rick Piper's BAC Jet Provost lately - the earlier version of what later became the Strikemaster, so a bit of New Zealand heritage there. I dunno... if I'm doing a tour of alpine landscapes, I like flying something that can easily put me above the highest peak with minimal fuss tongue.gif

That's SO cool that model, very polished for a freebie, love the wing-folding support. Check out the Coca-cola livery for it (f4u_coke.zip)

How about the C206. More than enough power to climb out of trouble, high wing so good views, 6 seats so spacious and with good capacity, usual Cessna flying qualities and also some NZ repaints for it. Can be flown slowly when you want more time for the views, but with a high enough cruise speed to get from A to B the same day.

smooth landings.
