I'm dumping my old *gameport* controllers, as I don't think I'll ever use the old backup PC they were running on for flight sims any more. I've put them on Trademe, as I desperately need some cash to by some add-ons with winkyy.gif

My stuff on Trademe

I really don't think there'll be that much interest on TM, so they may soon appear in a FREE topic in a friendly forum near you laugh.gif

Basically, they are:

Thrustmaster RCS Rudders
Thrustmaster FLCS/TQS Throttle/Stick (with Bob Church's digital chips)
CH Virtual Pilot Pro Yoke
CH Pro Rudders/Pedals

If anyone here desperately wants any of the above, either tell me what to put on a "Buy Now" or offer something and I'll withdraw it (if no-one's bid). Or you could just trust your luck and wait to see if they end up being offered here for nuthin' ...

Adamski- Are these able to be run through a USB plug adaptor? What is involved in running them on a more modern machine?

The larger pedals and yoke seem like they would be great for the Tauranga Museum project?

I've heard pretty bad things about these USB/gameport adapters. I think you may get the main axes to work (though I'm not sure about calibration) - but you'd most of programmability on the extra buttons (the main "fire" button may work).

What's the Tauranga Museum Project? Sounds interesting!

they would be perfect for the 'project' but cant spend much on it as all of my funds are going towards the new pc.

Would I be right in assuming that the CH Rudders and Yoke would be better for that project than the Thrustmaster equivalents? I'm thinking that programming the TM stuff is now probably a "black art".

If you're ever up Auckland way in that little plane of yours, you could pick them up and give me a joyride winkyy.gif laugh.gif

I have a soundcard with the gameport socket which I bought specifically for my old joystick, so I'd be keen to take the yoke/peddels if you can't find a buyer- might be just what I need to get back into simming after not firing up the rig in quite a few weeks!

However, do they both run off the same plug/wire, or can you use them both at the same time? I currently have a Saitek joystick which works a treat, so wouldn't be at all upset if the gear goes else were smile.gif

I'll take a look. I know the TM rudders used a splitter. I would expect the CH rudders are the same. If you look at the pic on TM you can just see a 2nd plug. I'll go down to the garage and open up the box. Sad person that I am, I still have the original packaging winkyy.gif
